The Chilterns Dog Rescue Society was formed in 1963 to rescue unwanted and homeless dogs and to provide accommodation until such time as permanent homes can be found. Since the Society was formed over 16,000 dogs have been successfully homed and we currently re-home approximately 400 dogs a year.

From our Pet Rescue Project helping homeless and abandoned cats and dogs in 11 countries with funds for spay/neuter clinics, veterinary fees, food, blankets, operating supplies, and new construction …. To our Orphaned Bear Project rescuing and rehabilitating baby bear cubs whose mothers have been killed by hunters in Russia … to our Emergency Relief Programme to assist sick and injured marine animals, sea birds and other animals affected by oil spills, whale stranding and hurricanes … IFAW is there to reduce and alleviate suffering.

Worldwide Veterinary Service is a registered UK charity no. 1100485 supplying veterinary resources to animal charities and non-profit organisations world-wide. Our projects involve teams of WVS volunteers who help our associated charities around the world.

The wild Bactrian camel is on the very edge of extinction and is listed as the eighth most endangered species on earth.
